Talking about making

Brady Fulton presenting “Making Custom Assistive Technology Today” at Closing the Gap conference in Prior Lake MN.

I was honored to be able to share my story at Closing the Gap 2018 in Prior Lake Minnesota where the theme was “Get Inspired, Be the Change!” I can’t think of a more fitting conference to share the current status of making custom assistive technology. I spoke about the gap between therapists DIY projects and commercially available (both DME and non-DME) assistive technology, where the “Maker Movement” is plugging in to fill this gap, and most importantly, how those in attendance can access makers and get their ideas made into real solutions. After the presentation, I spoke with several regarding future opportunities and collaborations. grateful for the opportunity to speak, encouraged by the feedback I received, and looking forward to my next opportunity to knit together the capacity of makers with the opportunities presented with making custom assistive technology.

  1. I was at Closing the Gap and was wondering if you would be able to Zoom into an AT conference on November 12th for 50 minutes to talk about the Maker Movement?
